Family Beginner Lesson

This 2 hour family lesson is similar to our beginner lesson but is directed at making sure both children and parents are comfortable with their new skills

Parents will learn how to:

• put on a harness
• tie-in with a figure 8 follow through
• set-up a grigri belay device
• complete thorough self and partner checks
• communicate efficiently
• belay and lower a climber under control.

Children will learn how to put on their harness and complete a safety check of a figure 8 follow-through knot. If time and ability permit we will introduce how to tie the knot, complete checks and how to belay and lower.
