First Step Beginner Lesson

Our First Step Beginner Lesson is an introduction to the basics of top-rope climbing. With 2 hours of instruction and supervised climbing, you will learn the basics of indoor climbing:

• How to put on a harness
• tie-in with a figure 8 follow through
• set-up a grigri belay device
• complete thorough self and partner checks
• communicate efficiently
• belay and lower a climber under control.

You will leave with the confidence and knowledge to pass a CCC belay check and top-rope climb and belay indoors.

The price of this lesson includes a day pass, all equipment, and　a belay check (to be completed the next time you visit a Calgary Climbing Centre facility).
