Rocky Royale

The Rocky Royale is a community event that celebrates Sport Climbing and offers something for everyone!

A grand night of fun competition with a range of climbs for all abilities, the Rocky Royale is a unique event with a scramble format for route-climbing - there will be over 20 routes to test yourself against, in a range of difficulties, with points awarded for every quickdraw that you reach.

Collect the most points in 2.5 hours of climbing and bring home the Golden Quickdraw - your final score will be your top 6 climbs combined.

Sign-up in belay pairs & compete individually - individuals within a pair can sign up for separate categories.

20+ total routes to choose from with top rope and lead options - true to scramble format, routes will be numbered and get harder with higher numbers - ie route #1 will be the easiest and #20 will be one of the hardest. 

                  **Most routes will be TOP ROPE only - select routes (and mostly the harder ones) will be LEAD**

Categories:

Beginner (5.8-5.10+ climbers) - Men's and Women's

Intermediate (5.10-5.11+ climbers) - Men's and Women's

Open (5.11-5.12+ climbers) - Men's and Women's

                  *Professional Photographers will be there to capture your poker face (and tons of action shots!) Photos will be uploaded to a drive for you to access after the event.

What: a Routes Scramble Competition open for anyone to enter ages 14+

Requirements: CCC Top Rope Belay Check and Lead Check (Lead check only needed if climbing/belaying on Open routes)

                    **Belay checks must be completed BEFORE the event**

When: Friday July 19  6pm- Late

Check-in: 6:00pm - 6:30pm

Climbing: 7:00pm - 9:30pm

Afterparty: 9:30pm - late

Awards: 10:30pm
